Yantai

Yantai is located at the east tip of Shandong Peninsula. It is bordered by the Yellow sea on the south ,the Bohai on the north. Yantai has a pleasant climate with mild winters and moderate summers. The average temperature is about 12°


Industry  Yantai has built up light industry in food, textiles, building materials, silk, electronics, chemicals, metallurgical production and coal. It is one of the important industries bases of Shangdong Province.  Yantai was named the first the international Grape and Wine City in China by the international Grape and Wine Bureau.  Yantai was an important link between Southeast Asia and the coastal provinces of Northeast China. Yantai port has exchange capacity over 14,000,000 T per year and 34 berths.

Resources  Yantai is rich in natural resources and products. There are vast fishing grounds along the 900 km coast of the sea. The gold output and talc deposits make up 20% of China's total.  Its marble reserve ranks second in China. Yantai is also famous for Yantai apples and Shandong peanuts, Tussah silk, Longkou vermcelli, giant cherries and laiyang pears are well known at home and abroad.

Tourism  Yantai is regarded as an ideal summer resortThe famous Penlai Pavilion has been called "Fairgland earth". The stone inscription elected on "Mount Yunfeng"is a rare treasure for the study of ancient Chinese calligraphy. Yantai is also famous for its hot spring.

Economic Development Zone  Yantai Economic and Technical Development Zone is situated in the western part of the urban district of Yantai city, opposite of Jia River. It has a building area of 12 square km and planned area of 36 sq km for foreign invested enterprises.
