How to apply the U.S. visa and opening a business in U.S.A.

United States non-immigration laws and regulations are fiarly complex. An applicant is subject to the approval interview of an U.S. embassy and airport immigration officials upon arrival.

The non-immigration visas are the business visas B-1, B-2, E-1, E-2, the employment visas H-1A, H-1B, H-2A, H-2B, H-3, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, P-1, P-2, P-3, and the student visas F-1, F-2, M-1.

Generally speaking, B-1, and B-2 visas are the most flexible and easier to apply for entering United States. It is open to all business person whether for studying the market or/and building a business foothold in U.S.

The duration of visas are: B-1 for 6 months; B-2 for 1 year; E-1 for 5 years; E-2 for 5 years; L-1A and L-1B for 1 to 3 years.

To apply the B-1 and B-2 visas, the applicant must successfully in meeting the immigration officer at a U.S. embassy:

  1. Must have a plan schedule in visiting and leaving U.S. before visa expiration.

  2. Must have one's own permanent address, business, employment and finance statement to guarantee one's return to home country.

  3. Must give reasons why applying to visit United States.  Is it for business, sightseeing or visit friends?

  4. Bring with you round trip air-tickets and proof of fund for traveling expenses while in U.S.

  5. Important: do not take employment in U.S. during you visit.

To apply for employment or other visa category E, L, O, P, F, F, M, one must have the employer and/or the U.S. authorities obtaining U.S. Immigration approval before visa application to an U.S. embassy outside United States.
