Zhengzhou (Capital of the Province):
Zhengzhou is located in the middle - north of the province and amid
the east-central part of the Country. It is bounded on the Yellow
River - Huaihe River valley plain in the southeast. The city has an
area total 7,447 square kilometers, including 117.5 square kilometers
of urban area, and has a total population of 6.3 millions of whom 1.5
million are living in the urban area. Its annual average temperature
is 14.5C
Natural Resources and Industries:
Zhengzhou is rich in natural resources: 35 kinds of minerals, 13 kinds
of industrial reserves and about 300 mining areas have been verified.
The deposit of Coal, refractory clay, cement stone, oilstone, bauxite,
diatomite, limestone, dolomite, pyrites, iron and the pottery clay
which are of great variety and of large deposits in Zhengzhou region.
Zhengzhou's pillar industries are textiles, foods, tobacco,
metallurgical, abradants and abrasive tools, coal and medicine; and
its main industries are printing and dyeing, chemical goods for daily
use, paper-making, ceramics, tanning, clothing, electronics, auto and
tractors for agricultural and industrial use.
Transportation and Communications:
Zhengzhou is serving as the meeting place of the Beijing - Guangzhou
railway, the Long - Hai railway line and the National Highway 310 and
Highway 107, the city is a hub of railways, highways, aviation and
communications in China

Zhengzhou is the long history ancient cultural city in China, with
many historic civilization sites; it was designated as capital of
China by five dynasties, and now the city has 11 major historic and
cultural sites under state proection. Zhengzhou is not only an
international tourists attraction place, and also boasts its business
and industries development, with flourishing commercial market in the
province.
Other cities Economic Development in the
Province: Luoyang, Kaifeng Pingdingshan,
Anyang, Kaifeng, Shangqiu cities are the major economic and township
industries in the Henan Province. Luoyang is situated in the west part
of the province and riding on the Yellow River. It has a history as
long as about 5,000 years. Luoyang has more than 1700 town-ship

High and New Technology Zone. Pingdingshan is lying in the central
part of the province, it has proven deposits of 57 minerals, the major
mineral deposits of coal, sodium, salt, iron, bauxite, gypsum,
limestone, refractory clay, graphite, marble and granite. The city
also known as "Kingdom of Tobacco" and it ranks the best in quality
and quantity among the major tobacco-producing zones of China. There
are more than 250 foreign funded enterprises have been established in
the Pingdingshan New and High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.
Following the adoption of the policy of reform and opening to the
outside world, the industrial and agricultural production of the other
major cities has been developed rapidly. It is also of abounds
minerals reserves, there are molybdenum, aluminum. Gold, silver,
tungsten, coal, iron, zinc, Crystal, lead. All these ores have large,
high quality reserves, and mining is easy. The reserves of molybdenum
ores are the largest possession in the country, one of the three
